Helen Hey
I am a trained editor and indexer with nearly a decade of experience. After six years working on English Language Training textbooks at Oxford University Press Canada, I shifted to freelance work and haven’t looked back. I am experienced with textbooks, corporate and educational websites, TTRPGs, and academic projects. I began indexing more recently and have found success with academic papers. I am interested in expanding the indexing side of my business, so please reach out if you are interested.
I love supporting writers so they can achieve the best version of their project. I strongly believe that collaboration and empathy are key elements in a successful edit, which is demonstrated by my clients’ testimonials. I also love learning from and with my clients. My personal interests include ecology, gardening, TTRPGs, literature, genre fiction, cooking, and folklore.
